News and Updates - Yay, My laptop is fixed.
ReliefIt's currently 3:39AM, and here I find myself with nothing to do. So! I thought, 'Why not post that long awaited, and put off, journal entry'. Well, here it is.
PortCon 09
Come and gone. I freaking loved it. I have goals to apply there next year and become apart of artist alley. I heard that '10 will be old school. Which means I get to bring out fanart of all my favorite animes. ;D
What I have down so far is:

Wolf's Rain (it's still 90's)

I don't suppose FLCL or Big O would count... I dunno, I'll look them up on Wikipedia or something. xD
uh... there's more. My brain's dead, so gimme a break.
Regardless, I noticed a lot of the artist there were using Watercolors off to the side for their little chibi prints. I didn't think it was used so much as a medium, but now I understand that it is, and I more easily recognize it.
Watercolors
SO, I've spent about 9 hours water-coloring (no, not all at once) but in general. I'll shove them all into one spam submission for curious viewers, but I hope to advance my skills in this medium as I'd like to create the cute little chibi prints of old school anime. 8D
Arist Alley
Continuing on. I met some awesome artists in artist alley, one in particular who had AMAZING pencil drawings. He had a sign up that said to ask about his portfolio, so I did! Anyway, I found out this artist's D.A. and I recommend it to any curious individuals who would love to check out some godly pencil work. (Anime fantasy just to boot!)
He's informed people that he and his partner (so I believe) are working on publishing a manga called Hopeless [-I believe the official title is still pending-]. So along with some very helpful tips and advice, I hope to also buy this manga shall the right publisher come along.
As for pictures. I AM SO SORRY. I didn't take any pictures of myself this year... >>; I got some awesome recordings, and fewer pictures then last year (And I was there for two whole days longer, go me...) but I did buy a lot more stuff! 8D Two handmade plushies of Hitsugaya and The Joker to be exact. And they're lovely and well done. xD
I'm not going to go into detail about how it rained most of the time at PortCon and how the rave-tent (massive tent mind you), smelt of wet dog, but if you wanna know, drop by me a note. xD
SteamPunk
Okay. I am so loving Steampunk. I saw a lot of it at the 'Con, and I'm totally into it. I've also started up watching a new anime called "Last Exile". I've known about it since three years ago, but I never really paid attention to it until I recognized it in stores again. I just happened to remember the title now, and have began watching it now that I have my laptop back up and running. I got a some pictures of those whom had cosplayed Steampunk. x3 I hope to make a Steampunk outfit just for next years 'Con. >8D
LAPTOP
YES. The laptop has been fixed. Unfortunately, all of my music, all of my previous unsaved artwork, and games, programs, and documents, have all been wiped. Dx

SOOO. I don't know. I'm glad to have my laptop back. Sharing one computer between four people is a bitch. Anyway. I have yet to reinstall photoshop, but I hope to soon, as I now have time to learn it, and use my tablet (which I love) along with it. *Looks for lost installation disks...*
Transformers 2
I'm going to see it this upcoming weekend, and I'm friggin' pumped. xD I don't know why the series gets me so excited. I think it's the animation detail. The storyline(s) aren't bad either. The first movie was quite enjoyable, by my standards. But anyway, the one thing I noticed in the first movie, was that it was an action packed film with very little... action. I mean, not to my standards of epic battleness anyway. But #2 looks pretty good. x3 <3
Unreal Tournament
AFTER YEARS of thinking it lost to me forever, I found it in search of my disks to wipe my laptop. I now have it installed and I went on a UT high. xD Played it straight for 3 hours. I also found my Sims "Jurassic Park: Operations Genesis" that I'd lost for forever. x3 I'll be reinstalling that on my laptop too, but I can't get that amazing 5 star park I had. ;.;
OH well
